Just like a lot of people in this world, I “yo-yo” with my weight ALL the TIME. I was just reflecting on a few of my older weight loss blog posts and the last one that I wrote was on December 28th. At that time I weighed in at 177 pounds and I was doing pretty good. Not sure what happened after the holidays but I sort of went down hill with my Weight Watchers success and the pounds added up again. All through January and February I was sitting at 180.6 then 180.4 and on 3/8/13 I weighed in at 180.2. The lack of success is extremely deflating!
Enter my friend Amy (cue the clouds parting and bright sun shining through). Amy is the one person in my life that could literally tell me it was a good idea to jump off a bridge and I would probably do it, I’m serious! Amy has become my life coach or something. In the past two years Amy has given me so much great advice and has referred George and I to so many important ideas and/or people in our lives. With my weight loss it was no different, Amy posted on our Mom Facebook page that she had lost weight after baby #2 was born and shared her success. At first I thought it was a bit crazy that she had lost so much weight and inches in such little time. I reached out to her in a state of frustration with my weight loss and asked her to give me the scoop. I can’t help but to skip ahead to the part where I am now having the same kind of weight loss success myself!
I’ll just let the pictures and numbers speak for themselves:
I’m obviously super excited about losing 14 pounds in 4 weeks but I still have a long way to go on my journey. The program is pretty simple and I’m lucky that it fits my lifestyle as a busy and full-time working mom. I’m also lucky to be supported by so many amazing people in my life. My husband, my friends, my health coach, and my co workers. But I wouldn’t have this kind of success if it wasn’t for my girl, Amy, who introduced me to the idea that I CAN be the healthy person that I want to be for myself and my family.
I’m looking forward to losing more weight and getting to that ultimate goal of optimal health and I’m happy to share my story with anyone interested in wanting to know more. Just shoot me an email JesyHerron AT gmail DOT com so we can chit-chat!

Great job 🙂
Thank you, great job to you too (I read a few of your blog posts)!
Congrats Jesy! I’m going to be getting my (big) butt into gear next week! I had planned to get healthy when I got back from Ohio but I’m in London twice this week and it just didn’t seem reasonable to try and eat healthy with two same day down/back flights in a week!
Thanks girly! I know, traveling can be a weight loss deflector for sure. I actually kept with the plan/program when we were in Florida and did pretty good. I ended up losing 3 more pounds the week I was on vacation. It can be hard to not drink the wine or splurge but it was worth it when I stepped on the scale! Good luck and let me know how I can support you.
I am so proud of you!
You look fabulous…..the pictures are great, but when I saw you on Saturday the weight loss was so obvious, so in person it is even better. You go girl and one of these days maybe I will join you! You can be my inspiration 🙂
