With the holiday season upon us, it is impossible to not be in a giving mood. And in the spirit of “giving” I’m thrilled to be sharing this special giveaway on The Herron Nest with all of you.
I was recently approached by a very loving family about the idea of giving away a photo shoot to a family who doesn’t have the means to pay for this themselves. With presents to be purchased and large families to host, sometimes these extras aren’t in the budget, right?
Here is how this unique giveaway will work:

Feel free to share this post with a family you feel will really appreciate the offer or “nominate” a family that deserves an opportunity to be photographed together for the holidays.
{Photo Shoot Details}
- Plan to show up at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time, typically there will be many families there as they do back-to-back 30 minute sessions all day.
- What you wear is as important—and so is what everyone else is wearing. Consider what the group is wearing as a whole. Look like you belong together; a similar color palette, similar season. Make sure clothes are clean and pressed because details show. And NO MATCHING OUTFITS!!! {per http://thesimpleportraitproject.com}
- Expect two to four set-ups per 30-minute session. For larger groups, one session will probably only yield one beautiful group shoot
- This a stress-free photo shoot. No need for Sunday best – jeans and bare feet turn out great!
{Giveaway Details}
The giveaway includes one 1/2 hour photo shoot {date and time has already been chosen, make sure you are available for the time-slot} and 4 Hi Res JPEG “digital” prints via disc. Additional Hi Res JPEG files are $25 each available for your choice to purchase. There are also options of purchasing archival-quality signed prints {see pricing} or you can simply take the disc and choose your print method ie: Snapfish, Shutterfly, etc.
