When you are a parent, you know how important it is to keep your children active. I’m also learning how crucial imaginative play is for my child’s development. With various technology and “screen” time it is nice to shut it all down to just get creative with our little ones. I recently discovered a fun new juice, Fruit Shoot and they are currently celebrating imaginative play with a little competition. Here’s how The Herron Nest joined in on the fun!
To celebrate the ‘Have a Ball Stunt Hunt’ we are also sharing our favorite imaginative activity ideas for you to try at home!
- Grocery Shopping – indoor activity – we give our toddler fun responsibilities of picking items like apples, oranges, and even a loaf of bread which is fun for her to find, checkout and pay.
- Super Hero Missions – indoor/outdoor backyard activity – we give our toddler various super hero missions like, “find mommy a green crayon” to which she runs through the house in search of a green crayon or any other item I have her seek.
- Pirate Heroes – backyard activity – it is AMAZING what a little paper towel or toilet paper roll can do for your child’s imagination, we choose to use ours to turn us into pirates, “ahoy mate”
